Govee permanent outdoor light installation in Toronto and York Region
Govee permanent outdoor lights mount along your roofline and stay up all year, so you can switch between warm white for everyday and colours for the holidays from your phone.
We measure your roofline, mount the lights neatly along the roof edge and set them up in the Govee Home app. You buy the Govee kit and we install it.

The installation
What the installation involves
- 01
Measure and plan
We measure the roof edges where the lights will go, plan where the run starts and ends, and choose the outlet that will power it.
- 02
Check the kit
We confirm the kit's length suits the run and that the controller and power supply can reach the outlet.
- 03
Prepare the roof edge
The mounting surface is cleaned so the clips or channel hold properly.
- 04
Mount the lights
Lights are mounted along the fascia or under the roof edge using the kit's mounting method, with even spacing and clean lines through corners and gable peaks.
- 05
Route and connect
The cable is routed neatly to the outdoor outlet and secured so nothing hangs loose.
- 06
Set up the app and test
We pair the lights with the Govee Home app on your phone, set up a warm white scene and a schedule if you like, and test the whole run with you.
Benefits
Why choose permanent roofline lights
No more ladders every season
Permanent lights stay up all year, so there is no hanging and removing holiday lights each year.
One set of lights for every occasion
Warm white for everyday, colours for holidays, game nights and celebrations, all from the app.
Discreet in daylight
Mounted along the roof edge, permanent lights are designed to be low-profile during the day.
Schedules and smart home control
Set the lights to turn on at sunset and off at bedtime. The Govee Home app also works with popular voice assistants.

Good to know
Before you book
Requirements
An outdoor outlet near where the run will start, ideally a covered GFCI outlet.
Wi-Fi that reaches the controller location. Govee devices generally connect over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Safe ladder access around the house, including side yards and gates.
Compatibility
We install Govee permanent outdoor light kits. Check that the kit length covers your roofline, allowing for corners and the sloped sides of gable peaks.
The Govee Home app runs on iPhone and Android. Tell us your kit model in the form so we can plan the mounting.
Installation time
It depends on the length, the height and how many corners and peaks the roofline has. We give you an expected time with your confirmed quote. Bad weather may move your date.
Pricing
The price is based on roofline length and height. Longer runs get a lower rate per foot, and the minimum charge covers the first 25 ft. A two-storey roofline costs more than a bungalow because it needs more equipment and time at height.
Use the calculator below for an estimate. We measure on site and confirm the price before starting.
Safety
We only work at height when the roof edge is dry and conditions are safe.
Ladders are set on stable ground, and cables are kept clear of walkways and secured at the outlet.
What to prepare
- Measure the roof edges where you want lights, or send photos of each side of the house.
- Have the Govee kit on site, unopened.
- Find the outdoor outlet you would like to use.
- Check that your Wi-Fi reaches the front of the house.
- Install the Govee Home app on your phone.
- Clear access around the house, including gates and side yards.
Do you sell Govee lights?
No. You buy the Govee kit and we install it. If you are not sure what length to buy, send us your measurements or photos and we will help you work it out.
Will mounting damage my roof?
The lights mount to the fascia or under the roof edge, not on the shingles. Depending on the kit, mounting uses clips, adhesive or small screws. We explain the method for your house before we start.
Can you install in winter?
Yes, when it is safe. Ice, snow or high winds mean we reschedule.
What if my outdoor outlet is far from where the lights start?
Tell us in the form. Some kits include enough cable; otherwise a new outdoor outlet may be needed, which is quoted separately.
How do I measure my roofline?
Measure along each roof edge where you want lights, including the sloped sides of gable peaks, and add them together. A rough number is fine; we measure before we start.
Are you affiliated with Govee?
No. Hipros is an independent installer.
